PowerHouse at Stave Falls

This field trip is recommended for children 7+, siblings are welcome but please be sure to get a ticket for each person. This is always a popular field trip, if you are unable to attend, please let us know so we can pass along your tickets.

Join us as we walk through a 100 year old powerhouse and enjoy the historical displays, electricity demonstrations and many interactive exhibits. This former generating facility is also a National Historic Site of Canada filled with archival photos, artifacts and the original mechanical and electrical components which helped power the province.

For the electricity demonstration, please inform the tour guide if you or your child has a biomedical device, hearing aid, insulin pump or pacemaker – this is for their safety. 

• Please bring a filled water bottle for the visit. The water at the Visitor Centre is non-potable.
