About the Event
Whonnock Lake Canoeing and Kayaking Field Trip
Students will have an opportunity to try paddling a kayak and canoe around Whonnock Lake. Equipment and instruction will be provided by The Ridge Canoe And Kayak Club.
Date: Thursday, May 26
Time: 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Location: Whonnock Lake (27871 113 Avenue, Maple Ridge)
Age: 9+
Maximum number of participants: 30. If there is space available, adults may register closer to the date.
Cost: $20 per student* *Subsidized by RMHL
This event takes place rain or shine. Dress in athletic clothing that is appropriate for the weather.
All participants need to print, sign, and bring the waiver with you. (We will email out the waiver before the event)
One waiver per participant please. (Adult participants don’t need a parent signature ;). )
Bring:
- packed lunch, water, and snacks
- towel
- a change of clothes
- hat
- sunscreen
There will be a dry place to store your things. Please do not bring valuables.
